Be Wise and Combat the Problem of Indian Railways Seat Availability

Trains have been the most favorite mode of transportation for Indians since its advent two centuries ago. Indian Railways has been serving the people of India faithfully for all throughout the years. There have been several amendments and developments in the railway, which have always been beneficial for the passengers. But, there is one problem, which continues to remain till date, and that is the problem of  Indian Railways seat availability.

There are a large number of trains running under Indian Railways to various destinations across the length and breadth of the country. The number of trains is increasing every year when the railway budget is introduced. Several new trains are added to combat the problem. Also, new coaches are added to existing trains, in order to accommodate more passengers. Special trains are run during festivals and holiday periods to meet the huge rush of travelers during times.

Even though all such measures are taken, many passengers are unable to travel in trains. Even though booking of trains starts 120 days prior to the day of departure, several people fail to get a reservation. After all the seats are filled up, tickets are booked under the Waiting list or RAC, wherein a berth is confirmed only after enough cancellations are made

The only way to combat the problem of Indian Railways seat availability is to book a ticket as early as possible. The seats get filled up rapidly and in case you do not get a confirmed ticket, it becomes a great disappointment.
